About RAVEN


RAVEN is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to domestic violence intervention and prevention in St. Louis, Missouri. We are funded through a variety of sources including fees-for-service, limited state contracts, foundation support and individual donations.

RAVEN was founded in 1978 by a group of men who were concerned about men’s violence against women and determined that men needed to work with men to end this problem. Read more about RAVEN’s history.

Mission Statement

To foster peaceful relationships, families and communities by increasing self-awareness, challenging abuse and control, teaching alternative behaviors, and promoting personal responsibility.

Staff

The staff and volunteers that run RAVEN’s programs and facilitate our groups have collectively worked for many years to decrease the amount of violence in our lives and our communities. Two staff members have Master of Social Work degrees, one of whom is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. RAVEN is committed to ongoing staff and volunteer development and training to further increase the quality of services we provide.
